Fire Compartmentalisation Survey Walsall

WHAT IS A FIRE COMPARTMENTALISATION SURVEY WALSALL?

A Fire Compartmentalisation Survey Walsall is an essential part of the fire risk management of any building. It is individually tailored for every client advising on the effectiveness of the compartmentalisation in the event of fire.

Such survey is conducted by MAGG Group fire safety consultants visually examining fire resistance effectiveness of all compartment walls inside all areas of the building identified in its fire strategy.

Upon a completion of such examination MAGG Group customers are issued with a detailed written Fire Compartmentalisation Report containing a current condition of the building and includes the representative photographs advising on the instances of non-compliance and recommendations of areas for Passive Fire Protection improvement.

WHY YOU NEED IT?

Although many organisations conduct regular Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), they do not tend to include a full Fire Compartmentalisation Survey, especially regarding hard to reach areas such as suspended ceilings, areas within services risers and beneath the floors.

WHAT IS PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION?

Fire Compartmentalisation sub-divides buildings into compartments separated from one another by fire-resisting walls and/or floors for better fire risk management and is designed to protect the escape routes.

Passive fire protection – is one of the forms of structural fire protection that aims to help to contain and delay the spread of fire and smoke through fire compartmentalisation.

Throughout its lifetime each building undergoes certain structural alterations that may potentially compromise its compliance with the British Fire Safety Standard and safety of its residents.
